I am thinking about buying a radio control mini helicopter and I am concerned about the possible dangers that could be caused by the radiation emitted from the transmitter.Do you think that they can cause possible health problems like mobile phones or wireless networks are said to?If so do you think that RC is more dangerous than IR DA?Any opinion is welcome.
Thank you

Answer
All kinds of radio waves can be potentially dangerous.
â[Lakehead] University president Fred Gilbert, whose academic interests include environmental studies and natural resources science, is worried about the health impact of the 2.4Ghz radio waves used by wireless networksâ. In effect, Wi-Fi was prohibited on most of the campus. âMr. Gilbert believes that âmicrowave radiation in the frequency range of Wi-Fi has been shown to increase permeability of the blood-brain barrier, cause behavioral changes, alter cognitive functions, activate stress response, interfere with brain waves, cell growth, etcâ. Unfortunately, science says he is wrong, and his students are suffering as a resultâ.
Therefore.....using all this kinds of things(including microwaves and mobile phones) should be done with care.
As for the guy above, radiation has probably burned his brain and has become an idiot.

STUPID A$$HOLE!!!

how can you build a RC helicopter ?

Q. My friend an i want to build a powerful rc helicopter with a wireless cam that has a good range but we have no plan on how to build it and where to buy the stuff for it

Answer
RC Crafting was once a exciting hobby enjoyed by all ages, but nowadays with smaller and cheaper electronics, it has long died as an art form. The sheer joy of detailing a minature craft and watching it take off was the Nintendo of yester-years.

The fact that you specified a wireless cam as an attachment leads me to think its not RC'ing you two are interested in, but rather sight-seeing or dare I say, spying, is what you are exactly looking for. In that case they already make something like that as a toy. It has limited range and either a b/w camera or a colour one. Some have mini monitors built into the controller, and others require pc or TV hookup for the receiver.
