how to fix a rc helicopter?

Charlie

i have a mini airhogs rc helicopter and it wont charge more than enough to spin the blades a few times. i need help with this and an answer as soon as posible

Answer
I'm a nitro man myself,go here become a meber,go to helicopters and ask their opinion, cause they can answer it better then me.Be sure you're in the electric section, also be sure you're in the heli forums. If someone insults you wich sometimes happen, who gives a F__k ! But most guy's there are pretty cool. This site is very adictive, you can buy sell trade.Advertisment to sell or trade is free.If you start looking to buy something, make sure the person you buy from has positive feedback. It's like ebay, but they are not responsible as ebay is.Keep that in mind.I'v traded sold, never had a problem.

How do i fix a spinning rc helicopter?

Q. The model is ... Cobra 3 channel mini helicopter X107 with gyro. I know that the top blades are spinning faster causeing the issue. But how do i fix it?

Answer
the top blade always spins faster than the bottom one (same with big lama 4ch co-axial helicopter, had one... and always broke the upper blade) so here's what you'll do:

if the helicopter spins in a crazy way to watever side, then:

go to the receiver, next to it there is a mixer, like 2 knobs that you can put a screw on it and move it, look carefully and move the "Proportion" knob left or right until the helicopter stops spinning.

if it spins slowly then:

look your transmitter, it has like little knobs that you can adjust left or right, they're called "Trim tabs" move the trim tab from your rudder left or right until the helicopter is steady.

if that's not the problem then it might be time to replace the motor of the upper blade.

if that's not the problem, go to www.rcgroups.com create an accout, post this question there and folks with waaay more experience than me will help you out.

Happy New Year!

Beginers RC Helicopter?

I'm looking into buying my first Heli, I have been advised to start with atleast 4 channels.

I was looking at the Esky Honey Bee CP3

What do you guys reccomend I start out with, Nitro or Electric.

I have a budget of around £100

Answer
I would definitely stay away from Nitro as a beginner. It adds a whole level of complexity to the hobby. There are so many great starter Mini Heli kits out there to get your feet wet. Get a small one so when you crash it (and you will), it will be cheap to fix and not a huge financial loss. Check out these kits:

Help choosing RC helicopter?

Girey

I'm looking for a helo that mimicks real helicopter controls. (Pitch, Thrust, Roll, Yaw)
I'd preffer something below 200 bucks and that I can add a mini cam to it.

Answer
If you want something than mimics are real helicopter you need something like an Align Trex 450 - a 6ch RC helicopter. The original trex is pretty expensive, but you could get a clone for around $200 (Titan. HK450, Copter X). They are usually sold as a kit and you have to assemble it yourself, but you can also get a ready to fly model. I must warn you thou this hobby is a money pit, they are very hard to fly for a beginner. It takes years to master. You WILL crash and you WILL be spending a lot of money fixing it. So maybe get an RC simulator first and practice for 100 hours or so before even attempting to fly. Its a serious hobby and requires lots of dedication, reading and research. Another option is you could simply get something like a fixed pitched helicopter or a coaxial helicopter or even a quad copter, they are much easier to fly. Quad copters are especially popular for Arial Photography. Good Site: http://www.rchelicopterfun.com/best-rc-helicopter.html
Good luck.

cornflake

hi every one i have a mini Dynamic Falcon Mini RC Infrared Helicopter and the stabilizer on top of the proppelers broke. type "Dynamic Falcon Mini RC Infrared Helicopter" in google images to see what i'm talking about. pleas help me by telling me how to fix it or where i can find spare parts for it. the thing connecting the stablizer to the rotor shaft broke. will crazy glue work. thanks

Answer
definetly use crazy glue, hot glue wont work as crazy glue, why? for hot glue you need a large amont and it wont be glue like crazy glue does, that will cause the helicopter vibrate a lot, use crazy glue, you use less glue and get a powerful union.

my car is messed up okay? I got my rc car from my grandpa, recently, and when i got it the turning wasn't very good. now it wont turn AT ALL. where can i go to fix it. I'm fine with shipping it somewhere and having them fix it. or going places to have them fix it. Any places near Chantilly, Virginia?

Answer
These are the ones I was able to pick out between the car not RC shops in VA. I hope you will be able to find one for yourself but if your going to leave it there get a receipt or something in writing that they have your RC.

I have a remote control Helicopter and one of its wings is half broken off. How do i fix it without tape?

Tyler N

Answer
You do not fix blades of a helicopter with tape, or any other way. You need to replace them.

Any repair would cause a serious balance problem, and create a hazard. Those blades are spinning very quickly, and if the repair failed in flight, the broken blade would be a projectile that could put out an eye.

To get better information on how to replace the blades, go ask on the dedicated RC heli forums.

When you post again, give more information about which heli you have.
