There are a number of posts about this V911 in rcgroups,the first outdoor mini RC helicopter,and the price $44.99 is the lowest over the online shops I've ever known.
If you list $49.99 in your ebay shop,I think people will like it.

How do I Make a RC Remote?

I lost the remote for a Brookstone Silver Bullet helicopter. I know that it's not a big deal, but I don't just want to throw it away. If you don't know the answer, can you think of some creative ways I could use the parts of the helicopter? By the way, this helicopter still works perfectly and the romote uses an infrared senser. Thanks!

You could try contacting Brookstone and see if you could by an extra remote. Or, since they seem cheap ($29.99) just buy a whole new helicopter/control, and then you'd have an "extra" helicopter for parts. http://www.brookstone.com/mini-remote-control-rc-helicopters

Trying to build your own remote would be next to impossible (unless you're an electronics engineer, in which case why are you asking?)

Another possibility is to try a different brand of helicopter, such as the Blade series helicopters from Eflite. They are quite a bit more expensive, but they use what is called "Bind N Fly" technology which allows you to use better transmitters for the helicopter if you wish. As well as the Blade helicopters are fully repairable down to the last little screw or bit of plastic. I have the predecessor to the mSR X, and I love it. Tough as can be, challenging to fly (if you've never flown a heli before) but once I learned how to do it, it is tons of fun.

the Blade mCX coaxial helicopter (similar to your Brookstone in that it is coaxial)

i used to have a cheap mini rc helicopter and it was not very stable. it quickly was misplaced.
the other day a friend was playing with his new mini heli and it was extremely stable and easy to fly. he said it was a syma. i don't know what model but it was the metal frame.

im wondering if there is any other helis like this out there that are better, his budget was 50 bucks where im willing to spend more. any suggestions?

Its 4ch and VERY VERY VERY stable in the air with an all alloy body! Those cheap plastic 2ch and 3 ch helicopters are very unstable in the air.

This one on the other hand is one of the most stable I have seen for its size. With the hover blades you can even move it side to side which is awesome for a rc helicopter.

the retail on these are 89.99 but tell you what. use coupon code clist30 and that will give you 30% off the entire order which will make that helicopter around 60.00 which is a killer deal for that brand.

There is even a youtube video there on how that little guy flies. Check it out and let me know what you think..

There are other helicopters there too but as far as best mini one, this one takes the cake.

I recently bought my father an RC Super-cub for father's day. Looking at the planes at the hooby shop and online kinda inspired me to give RC flight a try also.

However, rather than get a full size RC model, I was wanting to get a mini-RC plane.

Here's what I'm looking for.

Electric engines
7-10 minute flight time
Small enough to fly on a football/soccer field.
Easy to fly
Highly durable
Ready-to-fly
Price approx $40 or less

It can be either ground takeoff or hand-launch
I like the thought of the dual-engine models that use engine speeds to turn rather than rudders, but that's not required.

Amazon isn't much help b/c of a lack of reviews on many of the models, and many of the RC sites don't give all the information I need to make a good purchase

Alrighty. I have the perfect brand for you! Have you ever heard of Air Hogs? Their product line is best for beginning pilots. If you are not a beginning pilot, then the easy to fly planes and helicopters are good enough for relaxing instead of dealing with those hard to fly and maintain hobby aircrafts. From what i read about the mini- RC plane, I have tested many of the RC planes that will suit you well.

The Air Hogs Aero Ace have been my most favorite plane in the product line for many years. Although one of the batteries in the plane died out from excessive charging (not product defect, but from flying over 100 times) I decided to purchase another one. This is a bi-plane, not the jet. The jet is also good. It is more aerodynamic and fast. The plane charges up in 30 minutes (or less) and could fly for over 10 minutes; depending on how you fly. I get 15 minutes out of it sometimes. These are all hand launched planes. They have dual-engine that turns, no rudders at all. These both charge from the controller. Here are the links to the products.
