I am planning on mounting a camera to it for capturing high resolution pictures and streaming low resolution video to the ground. Need it to have enough power to carry the payload and be fairly stable that high. Any ideas?

You'll find what you need. Mini rc camera. Flymentor (stabilization system for helis). Large scale helicopter( trex 500e clone). Transmitter and receiver 2.4Ghz(more than 2000 feet and no interruptions)

Not unless the V911 tx has spektrum technology... this is part of what makes Blade products so great. Where you save money is buying a good tx like the dx6 and then buy the bnf helis that will bind to that.
